Ingredients

Potatoes
½ Kilogram (6 medium-size)
Boiled or frozen peas
½ Cup
Oil
1 Tablespoon
Salt
1 Teaspoon
Cumin (Jeera) powder
1½ Teaspoons
Finely chopped ginger
2 Teaspoons
Chopped Green chillies
2 Teaspoons
Chopped coriander leaves
2 Tablespoons
Red chilli powder
½ Teaspoon
Chaat masala (optional)
1 Teaspoon
Garam masala
¼ Teaspoon

Steps

  1. Boil the potatoes. (If you have a Microwave, wash and put wet potatoes in a micro safe steamer. Microwave covered for 5-7 minutes or till done.) Let it Cool.
  2. Peel and mash potatoes. Add oil, peas, salt, jeera powder, green chillies, ginger, coriander, red chilli powder, chaat masala and garam masala.Make tikkis of 3" diameter.
  3. Grill on a hot tawa. (Or if you have a MW, brush a non-stick tawa of the MV with some oil. Arrange tikkis on it. Brush the tikkis with oil. Place the tawa on a high rack. Grill for 10 minutes. Turn side and grill for 4 minutes.)
