Potatoes, medium-sized
0.5 Teaspoon
Pepper, freshly ground
0.5 Teaspoon
Ghee or Butter
1 Teaspoon


  1. Boil and peel the Potatoes until fork tender. If you are using Pressure cooker, keep for 3 whistles. If you are using a microwave, score the potatoes all the way around, add a little water and keep closed for 7-9 mins. Put the potatoes immediately in cold water so that the skin peels off easily.
  2. Mash well with Salt and Ghee until there are no lumps. You can add Milk/ Cream to make it creamier.
  3. Season with freshly ground pepper.
